1973 New York Jets DE Bob Parish HA-92 Microfit. Just a beautiful gamer in well-worn, unaltered condition from the Namath era! Judge Bob Parish played one year (1973) as a DE in the NFL before breaking his hand in preseason 74.
Being quite scholarly in addition to athletic, Bob wisely heeded the advice of his academic mentor and entered Duke Law School shortly thereafter. This size 7 1/8 - 7 3/4 (LARGE) gem is frozen in time and 100% complete/original minus the brittle clips which broke long ago. J-E-T-S lids are timeless classics! Over the years they received and collected memorabilia from the Dolphins and other NFL teams. This helmet is dirty with scrapes cuts, abrasions etc. But Bobs Number 74 is written inside in faded sharpie above both ear holes. Wore uniform number 74 but this is not Joes lid as sweatband indicates pre-1974 usage. Note the era correct Riddell fonts on both the wildcat sweatband and chinstrap, the lack of any paint "dot" on left side of NOP mask, the puncture holes in center white striping used to fill the helmet bladders, etc. All lend to authenticity of this fine NFL collector piece! Layer photos are shown for helmet era comparison purposes only. The item "VINTAGE NEW YORK JETS GAME USED WORN RIDDELL HA-92 FOOTBALL HELMET" is in sale since Tuesday, December 11, 2018.
